Mobile measurement platform 9000 STORM

The mobile measurement platform MTP 9000 STORM is a new generation mobile device and is designed to solve all measurement tasks arising during the construction and installation of FOCL. It is a universal measuring instrument consisting of a basic controllable module with an integrated color display and a wide range interchangeable measuring modules.
Appropriate design solution allowing the user to use different units if necessary and to perform all types of measurements of optical cables. The interchangeable modules can be placed and replaced easily.
This eliminates the need of using additional devices and also reduces the cost and time for training.
The platform uses color screen with TOUCH SCREEN function, it is provided for the installation of a source of visible radiation to detect damages of the optical fiber (VPL).


Measuring instruments

Optical reflectometer -2-2

It is designed to measure the attenuation in optical fibers (OF) and their compounds, the length of OF and the distances to places of damage. OP2-2 consists of a base unit and replaceable optical units for measurement of the multi-mode and single-mode OF at different wavelengths.

HHL packageGeneral features:

  • Control of the reflectometer, processing and display of measurement results by means of computer that may be included in the sales package;
  • Software that allows to determine all the required characteristics of OF, simultaneous analyzing of several reflectograms on the computer display, storage on the hard disk and read the test data from it, print them on printer;
  • Mode "Template" providing significantly reduced time for analysis and passporting of optical cable lines;
  • storage and reading reflectograms in BELLCORE format;
  • possibility of measurement of the parameters of electric cable connections using the additional removable unit.

Optical Locator-reflectometer VL-5

It is designed to measure the attenuation in optical fibers (OF) and their elements, the length of optical fiber and the distance to a section specified by it. VL-5 can be applied to the construction, installation, operation and maintenance activities of FOCL.

HHL packageGeneral features:

  • two modes of operation:
    • locator mode (autonomous mode);
    • reflectometer mode (under computer control);
  • displaying the distance to the point of failure on a built-in graphics display;
  • automatic storage of the resulting reflectogram in non-volatile memory of the device.

Optical tester -2-6

OT-2-6 is designed for measuring the optical power and the attenuation in optical fiber communication lines and the elements of fiber-optic equipment, as well as for generating a stabilized optical radiation.

  • possibility of change of the wavelength of the radiation measured by +40 nm with a step of 5 nm around central selected range of wavelengths in order to increase the accuracy of measurement;
  • storage of measurement results in the non-volatile memory, together with the time and the date of the survey (256 cellular memory);
  • possibility of management of the measuring power my means of computer;
  • reporting and review of the measurement results by means of computer;
  • three main wavelengths used for calibration - 850, 1310 and 1550 nm;
  • mode for measurement of relative levels;
  • two modes of the source of optical radiation: continuous and pulse with modulation frequency of 2 kHz;
  • real-time calendar and time;
  • indication of battery status;
  • automatic shutdown.

Source of optical radiation -2-5/II and -2-5/IM optical power meter

OT-2-5 / II is intended to generate a stabilized radiation in optical fibers (two modes: continuous and pulse with modulation frequency 2 kHz).
OT-2-5 / IM is an optical power meter in single-mode and multi-mode systems. It allows carrying out measurement of optical power and attenuation in FOCL with high precision. (Three main wavelength used for calibration – 850 nm, 1310 nm and 1550nm, the possibility of changing the wavelength of the optical radiation measured with + 40 nm and step of 5 nm around the selected range of wavelengths in order to increase the accuracy of the measurement).

  • storage of measurement results in the non-volatile memory together with the time and the date of the survey (256 cellular memory);
  • displaying both an absolute and the relative levels;
  • mode of measurement of relative levels;

Optical device for voice communication PU-2

HHL packageIt is designed for establishment of functional interconnection in one optical fiber. PU-2 is indispensable in construction, installation, testing and operation of FOCL when operators are at a considerable distance from each other and need constantly to exchange information at work in the absence of a standard telephone connection.

  • use single-mode semiconductor source of optical radiation and highly sensitive receivers to ensure maximum range of a comunication;
  • audible and visible indication of the call;
  • adjustable volume;
  • indication of the device switched on call and battery status.
